Introducing The Eufy RoboVac 15C MAX
Eufy is right up there among the leading names in the robot vacuum world, and while Roomba may be the first brand to come to mind, this one is certainly not far behind. The Eufy RoboVac 15C MAX is among the company’s most recent releases and among the most potent too. Following on from the huge success of?the original RoboVac 15C which, incidentally, is still available, the 15C MAX takes smart home cleaning to the next level. Crucially, it does so at a hugely attractive price point and you will struggle to find a robot vacuum that represents better value for money.

Pros and Cons of the Eufy RoboVac 15C MAX
Super lightweight at 2.7 kg, making it easy to move the robot vacuum between floors and to empty it
Excellent connectivity thanks to an infra-red remote control and mobile app, plus voice control with Amazon Alexa
Adaptable cleaning modes and strong suction make the Eufy RoboVac 15C MAX ideal for all but the thickest rugs
As a mid-range model, the RoboVac 15C MAX does not include capabilities for mapping or virtual walls
While perfectly functional and useful, the Eufy mobile app is not quite up there with competitors like Roomba and Neato in performance terms
The regular brush design does nothing to discourage hair buildup, so pet owners may wish to spend a little more for lower maintenance
Aside from the impressive packaging, which is a given on just about anything from Eufy and its parent company, Anker, the first thing that will strike you about the Eufy RoboVac 15C MAX is just how light it is. If you’ve ever owned a Roomba in the past, you’ll be taken aback at just how easy the 15C MAX is to pick up. At just 2.7 kg, it is among the lightest robotic vacuums on the market. That compares to just over 4 kg on the?iRobot Roomba 671, which we consider as this RoboVac’s closest competitor in the Roomba range based on price and performance.
As well as the standard issue equipment, such as the base unit and robot vacuum itself, you’ll also find some extra spares and accessories in the box. There is a remote control, complete with batteries to get you up and running immediately, along with spare filters and side brushes, cable ties and a tool to clean the robot itself.

Our Eufy RoboVac 15C MAX Review
Given that robot vacuums tend to be small and circular, it never fails to impress us just how well Eufy manages to make its products stand out. The 15C MAX robot vacuum is no different, and it will serve as a pleasant addition to any home. It requires a couple of feet of clearance on either side so that it can safely make its way back to base. Otherwise, you won’t need to make too many changes in order to start cleaning straight out of the box.
There is more to the quality of the clean with a robot vacuum than just suction power, but it does play a part and the 15C MAX does not disappoint. With 2,000 Pa of suction, you will not find more power at the price range. Whether you have pets, a house full of kids or anything else that reliably produces mess, this robot vacuum will not struggle. Unlike many other robot vacuums around this price, it will not struggle on just about any carpet. Only rugs where you can barely see your own feet when you stand on them will present any kind of issue here. Otherwise, you can rely on this Eufy for general dirt and dust, pet hair and anything else you’d expect a vacuum cleaner to take care of.
You might be the kind of person that is content to go up to your robovac, press the button and then let it go on its merry way. That’s perfectly fine, and the 15C MAX does indeed have a button on the unit to start a clean manually. However, there is so much great connectivity straight out of the box that it would be a shame to waste it.
First up is the remote control. As mentioned, it comes complete with batteries, so you can start zapping your robot vacuum right away. It is in no danger of becoming the most advanced piece of technology in your smart home, but it does a little more than just start and stop a clean. You can also use the device to schedule future cleans – up to one each day – and you can’t do that on the base unit.
Naturally, an infra-red remote control hardly qualifies a robot vacuum as smart tech – otherwise, we’d have all had smart televisions since the 80s. Fortunately, the Eufy RoboVac 15C MAX does not stop there, as it also boasts support for Eufy’s own mobile app. There is not that much functionality on this model to warrant a complex app – you won’t need to set virtual boundaries and maps here as the 15C MAX does not support them. Nevertheless, you can’t start a clean from the office with a regular remote, but the Eufy app makes it possible here.
Similarly, voice control on this device is not exactly spectacular, but it gets the job done. Connected Eufy robot vacuums such as this one work with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. If you tell your smart speaker to start a clean – or stop one – it will respond right away.
Even the greatest robot vacuum would be useless if it could only make it halfway around the house on a single charge. Fortunately, there are no such concerns with the RoboVac 15C MAX. The device uses a 2,600 mAh battery that is good for 100 minutes of cleaning on a single charge. That will be more than sufficient for cleaning both floors in the average home, and even those with larger homes will rarely find this robot vacuum running out of juice.
Charge times are not something that we pay too much attention to – it is rare that you’ll need to vacuum the home more than once in a day and if you leave it overnight, it will be good to go as soon as you get up. In terms of numbers, this robot vacuum needs to stay on charge for five hours to go from empty to a full charge. Given that the unit returns to its base automatically when the job is done or it is low on power, this is not something that you’ll need to give too much thought to.
Anyone that wants to buy a robot vacuum will often overlook noise levels. You may not even consider that there is much of a difference between different models given that they all do largely the same job. However, the 15C MAX must be commended for being so powerful, yet so quiet. At 55 dB while in operation, it is quiet enough to clean around you while you watch television. Unless you are a light sleeper, you can even schedule your cleans overnight and come down to freshly swept floors each morning. For context, 55 dB is slightly louder than a normal conversation, and quiter than background music.
